Life Events are Faith Events

Baptism & Christening

The gift of baptism is given to us all as a sign of our “becoming” a child of God. Through the waters of baptism we are washed of our sins and symbolically die to our old way of life and are raised again in the life of Jesus. We become a new being in thanks to God’s promise and we are “born again” as a newly marked christian.

If you would like to inquire about baptism for yourself or your child, please contact the church office by clicking on the button below.

Confirmation & Reception

When the time comes in a person’s life to re-affirm their baptismal promises on their own accord, then the process of confirmation training and prayer begins. A journey of study, worship and prayer begins and eventually ends in the laying on of hands by a bishop of the church to confirm the candidate’s journey to better understanding their own vows.

Some folks who have been raised in another faith community sometimes wish to make a commitment to the Anglican way of faith. For those folks, reception in the church follows a similar journey to those who are confirmed.

If you would like to journey down either of these paths, please click below to reach the rector who will connect with you.

Marriage & Relationships

What a fantastic time this is for you and your fiancé as you begin to discuss the “formal” part of your lives together.  Marriage is a wonderful blessing and we are excited that you have considered St Augustine’s as the place where you will walk down the aisle together.

We very much are looking forward to celebrating with you in the witness to your marriage.  Please know this community of faithful believers are here to be present with you along your journey that will begin here in a very new and sacred way.

Funerals & Memorials

An important part of our Christian journey is taking the time to recognize and remember the promise of salvation offered to us following our mortal life. For many people, that reminder of grace is found in the words of the prayers and readings typically connected with funeral and memorial services.

When it is time to say good bye to your loved one or if you would like to prepare your own funeral service with the help of our priest, get in touch with us and we will walk with you in this part of your story.
